End It?

I love the series 'How To Get Away With Murder' not necessarily because of its name or its characters or storyline but because I love very good series scripts and the above is definitely on my top ten list.
I'm not about to rave about the series, lol, (you can go online, download it or go to the nearest DVD retail outlet and 'grab your copy now') but to talk about the advice Annalise Keating (played by Viola Davis) gave to Nate's Wife - Nia Lahey
(who is dying of ovarian cancer in the show)
Here's an excerpt from the episode:
Nia: I want you to end it
Annalise: I'm sorry?
Nia: I want you to kill me
Then after so much consideration and guilty conscience, here is how it went down:
Annalise: I think about it a lot; killing myself, I have ever since I was a child, lot of times I think the world would be a much better place without me in it, but I don't do it. You are a better woman than me, and if I don't deserve to die then you definitely don't .I'm sorry if you want to end your pain, so did I, but so does every body; that's life..
I'm sure many people can relate with Nia, you don't even have to be going through cancer to have wanted to end your life, like Annalise said;  she had thought about it a lot of times, (I have too,) but that's life. We all want to end our pain, (I hate having a headache, or tummy ache even menstrual cramps are a big deal for me) the real question is should be 'Can pain end on this side of eternity?' I highly doubt that. Nothing on this side lasts forever. Pain comes and goes, money comes and goes, happiness comes and goes, I can go on and on.
My point is that ending ones life is never the solution, it even causes more pain; for those you are going to leave behind. You may think its better to 'end it' but its doesn't really bring an end.
Personally it takes courage to live, contrary to what people say - life is beautiful, its actually tough, all one needs is grace. Lemme back up and say Abundant Grace. And grace to continue to live comes from above.. No where else.
I pray that whoever is reading this receives grace to continue to live, despite what you might be going through (pain, hunger, sorrow, depression, even happiness). It may be difficult but it's not impossible.
Have an amazing day.
With love, theInspiredCutiee 

Short story type of day

I wrote this while I was in church (please don't judge me , it just popped in my mind and I began to write) She felt something slowly tickle her face, she ignored it the first and second time, then it began to move more rapidly than before. She woke up in a startle, disoriented and wondered what could have been causing this, it felt like it was on her face, she touched her face and it was wet, 'what's this?' she asked herself because it was dark. She quickly jumped up and flicked the switch on.. She screamed when she saw it was blood! The small dark spot on her pillow and on her nightie (when she sat up) were both evidence that she was bleeding from her nose. 'No, no not again' she cried. 'This can't be happening again' she said! Then she quickly remembered she was to tilt her head up whenever her nose began to bleed, she tilted her head and waited a couple of minutes but it didn't stop. She began to panic because she was loosin...

Lauren Daigle

Lauren Daigle is a contemporary christian music singer. I absolutely love her voice. She speaks to your soul and situation.  Her music is exceptional; but my favorite two are: How Can It Be and Trust In You. The first time I heard 'How Can It Be' I was in tears.. Sigh.. Like I said she speaks to your situation. That moment of my life I felt inadequate of God's love and then I heard this song.  Just take a moment to look at the lyrics:  http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/laurendaigle/howcanitbe.html 'Trust in you' is nothing short of her amazing voice, again the lyrics blow me away. The chorus is always a reminder: When You don’t move the mountains I’m needing You to move When You don’t part the waters I wish I could walk through When You don’t give the answers as I cry out to You I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You! I always ask myself; can I still trust God when He doesn't give me the answers I want? Can I still be genuinely gra...

The Halo Effect

Are you exhibiting the halo effect? Do you buy products because of the celebrity representing it? Or stay in a relationship that is wrong because of one good quality? We are all attracted to people all the time. What attracts us to others? And what attracts you? When you meet someone for the first time you draw a conclusion about them, subconsciously you decide whether you like them or not. BUT is it possible that one trait or aspect of one's character can influence your perception about them? Honestly, I judge a person's character based on their physical appearance, its a quick judgment that is very likely inaccurate. The good thing is that once I begin to have a conversation, I realize there's more to the person than just physical looks. (Well that's for those that are actually more than their looks). The halo effect can cloud our judgment even when we know about it. When one good quality spills its appeal unto other elements of a per...
