'18 Raves yet…

We live in world that anything can literally go viral in a split second, literally… Stuff happens every day that sometimes it’s a tad difficult to not be surprised, it’s like people create new stuff every minute! So, I decided to create a list, a list of stuff that has blown my mind so far… And we are just in March! Ama have to update this list by like July… Here you go; in no particular order: ·           Drake’s God’s Plan Official Video: Man! This video is everything; lemme not lie, I shed a tear or two! The video gave me goosebumps, literally! I think it depicts how God; (kind of) the way he was all philanthropist all over the place is just mind boggling! I say... ·          Heritage Bank’s Spoken Poetry Ad: This is just one word - Love!!Love!! Love!!! (okay, may be that’s three words, lol, but you get my drift?!) Probably because I love poetry, that’s why ayam acting like th...

Seasons - Hillsong

In case you don’t know, music is one of my inspirations; good music is therapeutic, good music is food for the soul and mind, in colloquial terms – music is the Inspired Cutiee’s bae! Good music entails beautifully written lyrics, (as clichéd as it may sound; words are everything) good rhythm and beat, (you just can’t help but fall in love with the blend and synchronisation of time and sound, it is literally magical) and of course abundant harmony of voice or voices. Well, this is my definition of good music, argue with your two left legs *walks away* Whenever I stumble on good music (perhaps it’s not a stumble – hmm notes to self) these things happen: ·           I can’t help but share how it teleports me to another realm ·          Scream it at the top of my lungs ·          Basically just keep it on repeat ·          ...

Ineffable Love

Today is exactly three weeks after Valentine’s day, wow, time flies – what you got to do, do quick! Lol. I wrote this poem for Valentine’s day, (I’m not a believer of the day oh, just a believer of God’s not-boxed-to-one-day-celebration-love) ironically that morning, my mom was talking on Christ’s love as the apex typa of love, (tbh, she does this speech every Val’s day; perhaps she does because she doesn’t want me and my siblings to be swayed by the grand gestures people adopt on this day and her best tactic is to remind us of His love) so, Mom, relazz, we know this *wink* I urge you to be reminded, thought provoked and most importantly inspired by His Love: I thought Hillsong had my heart until I met Bethel Bethel literally and figuratively makes me tear up Reckless love is the theme ‘Oh the over-whelming, never-ending, reckless love of God’ ‘Oh it chases me down, fights till I am found, leaves the 99’ I ask, how can you have 99 and still chase 1? ‘The...

Try Out

I am not very good at poems; in fact, they are my least favorite form of literature. Although there are very good poets, PoeTolu is one of them, I love his poems. I was listening to Jon Bellion’s iRobot song and I decided to try and write a poem. Here: PS: I tried to rhyme, and the lines increase per verse. It is official I am in a rut I refuse to be social My heart’s hard like rock Love I love I used to love I can’t love I hate love Cuts, cuts, cuts I cut myself My heart is cut Tears caught up in my throat I am deeply cut open This cut is deep and wide It is pitch dark I see darkness Brooding darkness Darkness everywhere I live with darkness Day and night darkness looms Never-ending darkness D to the E to the A to the T to the H Its stench is appealing Death crawls up my skin Death wraps his hand around my mind ‘Come, come my child’ it whispers Slowly my essence begins to fade Floating into the welc...

Kirk Franklin

Losing my religion review. Well my version of a review.   This post is long over due.(well all my reviews are; just watch out for them *wink*). I have procrastinated this for a very long time (yeah not my finest quality, I'm a work in progress). I downloaded this album on 18th November 2015 and I'm just writing a review. (smh) . The list of tracks on the album are in a sequential order; one track precedes another. *The first track; Losing my religion is a monologue. Basically the vicissitudes of life. *Miracles follows. I mean after the ups and downs of life, of course miracles are bound to happen. My favorite phase is 'My life is a miracle, can't deny it I'm a miracle. *123 Victory is next on the track; one of my favorite. It sounds like something for cheer leading (lol) . It even begins with 'Hey Yo 123 Victory!' *Road Trip; is nothing short of beautiful teaching (well me) that the joy is in the journey and how awesome the end ...

Monday Blues

Monday is here again.. Since the title for the post is Monday blues, I recommend Asa's songs.   Asa is a mix of everything; there's happy and upbeat, there's sad and slow, there's love, there's peace, there's reminiscence, there are thought provoking questions, and there's hope for the future. My dad sprung my love for Asa, I remember when I was much younger he'll play her CD every morning. It was always such a special father and daughter moment. So if you are on your way to work or school you can jam her album on your player in your car or download it on your phone and plug your earphones. I don't have a particular favorite song or album, I love all her songs, everyone of them..  But be careful oh, don't go and forget your bustop or hit someone's car or get knocked down while your headphones are on the loudest. Biko please be smart.. Lol. Have a beautiful Monday! With love, theInspiredCutiee 

Lauren Daigle

Lauren Daigle is a contemporary christian music singer. I absolutely love her voice. She speaks to your soul and situation.  Her music is exceptional; but my favorite two are: How Can It Be and Trust In You. The first time I heard 'How Can It Be' I was in tears.. Sigh.. Like I said she speaks to your situation. That moment of my life I felt inadequate of God's love and then I heard this song.  Just take a moment to look at the lyrics:  http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/laurendaigle/howcanitbe.html 'Trust in you' is nothing short of her amazing voice, again the lyrics blow me away. The chorus is always a reminder: When You don’t move the mountains I’m needing You to move When You don’t part the waters I wish I could walk through When You don’t give the answers as I cry out to You I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You! I always ask myself; can I still trust God when He doesn't give me the answers I want? Can I still be genuinely gra...

Adele

If you haven't heard 'Hello' by now, you are probably living under a rock. I don't know what you are waiting for. Adele has always been bae and she still is.  My playlist is never complete with her. Lots and lots of reviews on her and her music, I'm not even going to bother to write one, just Google, after all Google is your friend.  The memes are the height , I totally cannot deal. I can't wait for her album which comes out in November  The video "Hello"  has had over a hundred million views in just 5 days; this comment is just priceless, I had to take a quick picture because lots of people were commenting. I hope you can see it though: With love, theInspiredCutiee 
