Netflix and Chill

Jessica Jones review

These reviews have been overdue. And since I'm on break from work, lemme just do it! #NIKE (smiles sheepishly)

I downloaded the first season on the 28th of November 2015 (because Netflix and marathon *wink*). It stars Krysten Ritter (I loved her in CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC, although its sad that DON'T TRUST THE B IN APARTMENT 23 didn't work out) as Jessica Jones, and the Adonis; Mike Colter (his body is amazeeeeee balls!) as Luke Cage.  And some other really cool actors and actresses. (Lol)

To be honest, in as much as Marvel comics are a delight, I decided to watch Jessica Jones because girl power (grins). And she has this aura of darkness and nonchalant behavior towards life but opened her heart to one or two people. And she's really good at her job; probably because its her passion, and its actually a fun one. I mean for you to be good at investigating you have to be pretty smart and look out for the tiniest detail.

You really should check this out, Kilgrave; the yoruba demon

Its actually very nice, that's if you are into comics, superhero, graphic novels, sci-fi, and action. It's packed with suspense and everyone hoping the bad guy dies asap (lol)
Speaking of bad guys, the villain in the series Purple Man popularly known as Kilgrave, (David Tennant (awesome in DOCTOR WHO), a brilliant actor, his British accent is sexy (lol) and p.s he's actually Scottish) superpowers are like the coolest. The character is very brilliant! He actually inspired my post on The Mind

It consists of 13 episodes, each with about 46-55 minutes run.
Oya I don't want to spoil it for you. Gaan watch it now!!

Sunday Special

FEAR Where can I hide from this scary beast I'm so tired of attending these feasts I have been held bound by your lies  You told me I can't go beyond where I am My whole life I had dreams that would transform the world I saw myself sitting with Kings Dinning with Princes But In reality, all that was on my plate was hate I looked around and saw regret You made me feel comfortable, here on this dinning table Feeding me with stories of how I can't, How I wouldn't be able to! You told me they would laugh at me the moment I opened my mouth to speak That explains why everyone thinks I'm weak I got letters of Invitation from greatness You tore them right before my eyes You took me out once in a while to see your friends, mediocrity, status quo and Impossibility They seemed cool at the time Till I met faith Then I realised my whole life has been a deception All this while I was at the wrong reception Faith took me on a walk and showed me all the things I ...

The SS 4

If you’ve been following these series, you know they started off as a rant, but I decided to be inspiring, (as usual, hehe). If you haven’t (where have you been!) – you can read the Kick Off , Part 1 , Part 2 , Part 3 . I concluded part 3 saying watch out for myth 3… (still watch out!) ‘I thrive on purpose’, ‘I exist because of purpose’, so what then are the things I should be conscious of during this phase? Literally what lessons should I gather from my singleness? This requires a critical look at Genesis 2: 8-17: 1.       Place: God has a purpose for every place He puts me, He wants me to see, learn something before He can show me the next step. For example; He placed me in my family for a reason. Ironically many (myself inclusive) place ourselves and source for a person or people to validate this place we’ve placed ourselves. Even more sadly, many (myself inclusive) fight the place God has placed us. 2.      Pu...

List

As we countdown hours to the end of the year, in every corner there seem to be lists of things that happened this year; they maybe favorite or worsts, or top experiences or things that made history, sha lists. (you get my drift right?). I don't think I have sat down to draw up a 'list' well expect when I was applying for a job and they specifically said give 10 reasons why we should hire you. Yeah that happened. Lol. So I have been thinking, really thinking. A whole lot can happen in a year, emphasis on  'whole lot'. Except you write every detail of what happens daily and not miss a day (I wonder if there are people that are this deep) you are bound to forget some things. The movie 'INSIDE OUT' depicted how our mind works. (If you've seen it; you have an idea of what I'm talking about, if you've not I don't know what you are waiting for) There are too many things that have happened this year for me as an individual, in fact as a...
